Subject: The Royal Film Commission - Jordan (RFC) is pleased to invite you to take part in the 15th Digital Filmmaking Workshop.
Time & Date: From the 14th of July until 7th of August 2019, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding Fridays. (The workshop might continue after 5 PM on certain days).
Location: The Film House, The Royal Film Commission – Jordan, Jabal Amman 1st Circle – 7 Omar Bin Khattab Street.
About the workshop: For the fifteenth consecutive year, the Royal Film Commission - Jordan is pleased to invite you to take part in the upcoming Digital Filmmaking Workshop. This year, the main focus will be on developing the filmmaker’s expertise and upgrade their know-how to a professional level.
Participants will work on group projects alternating across various roles. Participants will work in teams to develop their own ideas into scripts, direct, shoot in digital video, record and design sound, and edit their short films. Under the supervision of professionals, they will explore and understand the art and technique of storytelling and the pre-production, production, and post-production process. The short films will be screened on the last day of the workshop.
About the instructor:
Mahmoud Al Massad
Mahmoud Al Massad is an award-winning Jordanian filmmaker. His films were screened at over 130 international film festivals and were released theatrically. His latest narrative feature “Blessed Benefit” is featured on NETFLIX.
Al Massad’s films received 27 awards from festivals worldwide such as Sundance, Warsaw, ARTE award and participated in the Cannes Film Festival's L'ATELIER. Al Massad has trained at numerous workshops and seminars in Amsterdam, San Francisco, Bonne, Madrid, Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Bahrain and many more.

This workshop is aimed at: Filmmaking students and anyone interested in digital filmmaking / scriptwriting / directing / producing / cinematography / sound design / editing.
